Hi, I'm Whitney Davis and I am a piano teacher, music educator, and mother of four boys in Delaware, Ohio.  I love Jesus, my family, a good book, running, and all things in nature. 
 
When I first started teaching I taught how I was taught, performing classical repertoire with a focus on reading, technique, interpretation, and performance.  This is a beautiful approach to piano playing but it soon became apparent there had been so much music left out of my own piano lessons.  I was not encouraged to improvise or create.  I had only played and performed music how the composer intended.  Consequently, my ears were turned off and I had no creativity.  It wasn't until I was an adult and years of music education that I became passionate about creating well-rounded musicians with strong musicianship skills who can play confidently in any situation.   

Learning and creating music is easier when it's enjoyable and fun. My goal is to give students the keys to unlock the world of music by what inspires them.  I want to nurture the next generation of musicians to enjoy a lifelong love of music.
